DYNATRON Dual Stage Microwave Sensor.

Description

Dual Stage Microwave Sensor provides active detection of body movement around the immediate perimeter of the vehicle as well as detection within a virtual space and is ideal for open softop convertable configurations. Can be compromised by metal surfaces and metalic window film tint. May also detect water movement over glass surfaces and must be tuned to take these factors into consideration. Ideally located in the roof lining in hardtop applications, under the centre console with softtops.

"Warn AWAY" external field can be either visual (indicators) or audible (siren) output. System will only trigger when the interior field is fully breeched. 

Operation
  
Warn away exterior field: Exterior field has unique "warn away" to deter thieves by triggering either a visual or audible alert once the field has been breeched
Active internal Microwave Field:

Sensor establishes a microwave field where any measured change in the density of the internal field only is determined to be an intruder.
Adjustable sensitivity: Sensor allows installer to adjust sensitivity of both field independantly in order to provide compatibility within different size vehicles.
Temperature compensative circuitry: Ensures sensitivity does not change as ambient temperature rises or falls.
Plug and play for service: Designed to allow easy access for service technicians. Plugs and sockets are located inside the main control module to protect against access by thieves.

Compatible with: DYNATRON alarm control systems only
Visual Output  
Trigger status indicator:

LED indicator shows when sensor is triggered with different coloured LED's to differentate between interior and exterior fields.
External field: Can be indicator output for warn away alert.
Specifications  
Low current draw: 9.07mA when idle, 21.95mA when triggered for 2 seconds.
Wide Operating voltage: Operating voltage +9VDC to +15VDC.
Operating temperature: -20 degrees to +85 degrees for equipment designed to be installed within vehicle cabin. 
Polarity protection: The system circuitry is design to protect itself against accidental battery polarity reversal. This can happen when replacing the vehicle battery.
Trigger output rating: Each output of the sensor can sink 300mA, suitable for energising a relay coil when necessary.
Trigger output is back EMF protected:   Clamping diode protects the output driver transistor(s) to stop damage from the super high voltages that occur when a relay coil is released. 
Can protect open top vehicles:

Microwave field will not detect air movement. The field provides it's own boundaries, so ideal for convertibles.
Limitations:

Microwave fields can not penetrate metallic surfaces, including metal foil and titanium window tints.
Power Consumption:

Each additional sensor added to a system will increase it's over-all power consumption from the car battery. See the list of each sensor's power consumption.
