Description

Greentune: Is an internationally licensed ECU upgrade utilising Factory remapping protocols directly from and into your vehicles Engine Control Unit. Tuning is in these latest Tricore Security Locked computers is only able to be done with a sophisticated Bench BDM programmer. Greentune does not overwrite nor does it compromise existing Service, Repair or Upgrade protocols. We retain low "in gear" torque limits (especially important with the latest DSG transmissions); retain maximum RPM and cold running restrictions and vitally - maintain all the absolute limp home protections. This is NOT a clandestine hack tune and complies with all VW Factory coding where their diagnostics recognise this as being a genuine factory map..

Remapping:  Is completed by DNA Tuning in the United Kingdom who select each tune tailored from an extensive suite of specific factory maps. Based on Stage 1 level tuning DNA then select the performance file, based upon the fuel quality and specification in order to optomise the engine and drivetrain in your car and all this is compiled from the manufacturers own library.

Diesel TDI Turbo Engines: Single or Twin Turbo both versions will generally produce 25-30% improvements in power and torque across the entire rev range - although with twin turbo engines the torque percentage increase is entirely dependant on the level of "tuning" available to reach "Peak Power". The new 132kw engine is pushing the 2.0TDI envelope but should peak at an eye watering 180Kw and 520Nm!!!  Importantly this is NOT a plug and Play black box - DNA Greentune relies on all existing sensors, protocols, limp home and limit codes and selects a genuine performance solution that will not overboost, overfuel or overload the engine or drivetrain. that's why we provide a full warranty.

Installation:  The ECU must be removed and then the Read and Write formats are completed overnight allowing the ECU to be reinstalled on the next day. for Out of town (Auckland) vehicles the ECU can be removed (we provide technical instructions) and couriered to us. We will then, using the same sophisticated BDM equipment READ and WRITE the files and return the completed and "Tuned" ECU by the next working day.
